Ag Drone Spraying and Spreading

Reduce overall costs and increase efficiency with Ag Drones

Over the last 24 months, Drones, more specifically Ag Spraying Drones; those with increased size and utility, have become amongst the best tools in Ag Producers' belts. No longer just used for "spot" spraying, Ag Drones are now able to fully satisfy most farmers' spraying and spreading needs for a fraction of the traditional costs.

We often get the occasional 'Boom Sprayer' who insists that because they can spray 10 gallons per acre they have the better piece of equipment. But a cursory look at most labels (which are the law), will reveal that for ground rigs, 10 gallon is the minimum. But for Aerial applications, only 2 gallons per acre are typically demanded. This difference amounts to a much more efficient application due to the mechanics of the Drone's prop wash.

If you are an Alabama or Georgia Corn grower, you know that using a ground rig on corn over 4 ft is a recipe for disaster. Yet, so many in this region continue to do it. Many still attempt to use ground rigs on wet soil. Many dry farmers don't spray their corn for Morning Glories prior to harvest, and year after year, they will spend hours unjamming stuck augers on combines because they couldn't or wouldn't spray; spending more money for the truckers hauling to silos, and more in fuel costs.

And I haven't even talked about fuel costs. Drones use electric batteries. These batteries are charged with gas generators, but there is no comparison between a giant boom sprayer burning gallons of diesel or traditional crop duster using Jet A fuel, vs a small gas pump for agitating, and a 15,000kw generator burning 1 gallon per hour to charge electric batteries.

Precision is EVERYTHING

A traditional crop duster (plane) may fly around 90mph across a field. And though many try as hard as they can to prevent drift, many are still susceptible to damaging neighboring fields or trees because they are unable to see and feel the changes in wind intensity and direction. A professional Ag Drone operator is less likely to allow his chemical mix to to drift because they are outside and can witness the changes in wind speed and direction. And with Georgia and Alabama Peanut growers routinely enclosing their fields within tall pine trees, this extremely important to not damage trees and neighboring homes.

When precision is required, there is no match for an Ag Drone, and Flyest Farm has just the Drone.

The benefit of using Ag Drones over ground rigs and even traditional crop dusting airplanes is in their absolute precision. While airplanes may be better in long, rectangular fields of 1000+ acres, an Ag Drone excels in individual field under 500 acres that abut trees and obstacles; places that suffer damage due to drift. Flyest Farm uses a fully autonomous (manual if needed) Ag Drone that can adjust the spray rate and droplet size on-the-fly. This allows for minimal to zero drift, and easy adjustment for changes in weather conditions on the field.

There is no comparison between an Airblast Sprayer (a ground rig used for nut and fruit trees) and an Ag Drone Sprayer. And it's not just the savings in water alone, but the wasting of expensive chemical treatment used to cover and protect the trees, nuts, and fruit. Flyest Farm can put your Pecan grove on a spray schedule, much like you have been doing currently, to maintain the best quality harvest you expect. Spraying is underway, so call soon so we can fit you in.

Airblast Sprayer vs Ag Drone

Wet fields, dry fields, daytime, nighttime, hot, not so hot (the best), early or late, if it's a field, we can likely spray it. With an efficiency unmatched.

Fertilizers, Herbicides, Fungicides, Pesticides - whatever you need, we can spray it.

In comparison to Ag Drones, Airblast Sprayers do only one single thing extremely well: Waste Expensive Product.

In today's environment where all Ag related costs are doubling by the day, using an Airblast Sprayer could not be the worst piece of Ag equipment to use. So why do farmers continue to use them?

Habit.

Ag Drones by far out compete Airblast Sprayers for precision, cost . . . everything.

The traditional crop dusters don't like us because they think we are competing with them. Traditional ground rig sprayers don't like us because we are faster and are not held back by the elements. We are not trying to replace either. We all have a place to fill and a position to play. However, Ag Drones can play many more positions than either of the two, and our efficiency and cost savings per acre is unmatched. Flyest Farm is ready to spray your Ag Land with efficiency and professionalism.

The South has amazing fruit and nut tree orchards, but they need to be taken care of over the course of its growing season. As stated above, using an Ag Drone is the best way to spray efficiently and without waste and without missing spray and fertilizer intervals. Call us before the growing season to get put on a pecan maintenance program.

* We limit our Pecan spraying to 15ft or less trees to maintain visual line of sight, until the Part 108 rule comes into effect.

Seeding fields and Pastures in zero time flat

Fruit & Nut Tree Spraying

Flyest Farm Ag can seed your fields, pasturelands, or food plots with ease with our 150lbs dry formulation seed spreader. After calibration, just load the tank, add the batteries, and we can make quick work out of your seeding needs. Save the diesel and the time.

Liming a field for slow saturation is a breeze. And we already have most pellet sizes calibrated in our system.

Our seed and dry formula spreader can toss at approximately 200lbs/min.
